HeadSpin vs Eraserheads

Dallas, TX –Headspin continued its dominance of Season 1 by outlasting the Eraserheads, 38-35, to stay undefeated in Volume 1 of the Dallas United Ballers League.

The Eraserheads came out of the jump with their stifling defense, limiting League-leading scorer, Rodge Villa to 2 points for the first half, and limiting Headspin to 15 first-half points overall.

Headspin gathered themselves in the 2nd half, with Rodge and Carl Agcamaran leading the charge to outscore Eraserheads in the period, 23-14, and give them their third straight victory.

Rodge and Carl both finished with 10 points apiece.

Rommel Calaguas led the Eraserheads with a 12-point, 10-board double-double, while Richard Osay contributed 8 points.

Dallas, TX – HeadSpin will try to keep their spot at the top of the league standings as they battle against the happy-go-lucky Eraserheads on the third game of Week Three.

The Eraserheads is coming off from a fresh victory over the Thundercats in Week Two will try to ride their momentum against the mighty HeadSpinners. This will be a game for the ages as both teams have the same style of play.

High school standout Rodje Villa will try to continue his hot scoring in this game while Kyle Aguirre will be tasked to defend the Eheads top player on the wing. Carl Agcamaran and Joseph Brimon will try to bully their way against Mike Beltran, Nilo Concepcion, and Rommel Calaguas for the Eheads.

Neil Bagalso will continue his on-court mastery with wing support from Loven, Mike, Jacob, and Mark.Eric Natividad will provide the spot up 3 point shooting for the Eheads.

Lito Matildo will run the break for the HeadSpinners along with Gerard Areja and Cupid Musa, who had great game in their previous outing.

Cris Dapon will provide the teams on-court leadership tomorrow.

HeadSpin will go to war at 1130am on September 24th.

Thundercats vs SemiPro

Dallas, TX – For the second game of the day, the Thundercats bested the Mighty Semi-Pro, 51-39, on the game-long aggressive play of Renz “the KantoBoy” Villanueva.

It was a seesaw battle for most of the game, but 2 important runs in the second half sealed the victory for the Cats, who are now tied with Voltes V for second place in the standings, with a 2-1 win-loss record.

Semi-Pro was leading 32-28 when the Cats unleashed a 12-2 run sparked by a couple of threes by Team captain Gil Mandabon to gain the advantage, 40-34.

And then they finished the game on a 11-3 run to send Semi-Pro to their 2nd loss in 3 games. Rainer De Joya and Noel Bagalso topscored for the Cats with 11 points each, while Renz added 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Semi-Pro was led by Jeff Duria with 19 points, with Rodfil Camacho scoring 8 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.

Dallas, TX – SemiPro will try to continue their hot run-and-gun game with their Big Three of Jeff, Rodfil and CJ as they face off the reeling Thundercats who lost to the Eraserheads in Week Two.

Bhon and Brian Filomeno will provide the 3 point shooting needed for the SemiPros while Von Pagdanganan will lead the team with his court vision and overall impact.

Jingson Morales will help crashed the boards while Phoenix Galing and Devan Mesa, will try to provide bench support.

The Thundercats will be led by Gil “Major Pain” Mandabon as they try to move past their Week Two loss. High school standout Matea Mandabon will provide the shooting from the 3 point territory.

Dennis Dagondon and Rainier De Joya will man the paint along with Paolo Olea, Philip Autencio, Jonnel Guttierez while Noel Bagalso, John Cruz and Renz Villanueva will run the break for the ‘Cats.

The teams will face off at 1030am on September 24th.

Dragonball Z vs Voltes V

Dallas, TX – In the first game, Voltes V bounced back from a humiliating loss the week prior, to annihilate the reeling Dragon Ballz, 74-54, to stay tied for second place in the Season Standings.

High school phenom Aldrich Acuna, bounced back from a poor outing, by firing in 8 triples en route to a game-high 32 points for Voltes V, as they led wire-to-wire for their 2nd win in 3 outings.

Sweet-shooting back court mate, Aaron Cua rifled in 6 triples himself to finish with 22 points, to go along with his 10 assists and Ironman Aldrin Acuna added 9 points and 7 rebounds.

Dragonballz, who remain winless this season, were led by Richmund Echaore’s 12 points, and Jet Carreon’s 10 points and 4 assists.

Dallas, TX – Dragonball Z will try to end their losing streak as they face off Voltes V in the first game of Week Three. Big man, Gabe Gaw, will try to rally his team tomorrow against the might tandem of the Splash Brothers, Aldrich and Aaron,  who were struggling in their previous game with SemiPro.

The ever-reliable Mr. Big Fundamentals, Aldrin Acuna, along with Popoy “The SailorMan” Vargas will power the defense for the Volts with his league leading 9 blocked shots. Raymund Escarlan will direct the team with his on-court leadership.

Yuhenyo Giron will lead the fastbreak attack for the Dragons along with the sweet shooting Richmund Echaore on the rainbow.

Veterans Jun Centeno, Tiger Start, Arvin Dela Cruz, Jet Carreon, and Angelo Dela Cruz will provide the much needed bench support for the team.

Jeff Roque will try to continue his hot shooting tomorrow.

Dragonball Z and Voltes V will face off at 930am on September 24th.
