Vol. 1.0 Championship : SemiPro vs Voltes V

SemiPro continued their hot streak into the Championship game cruising to an easy 57-49 victory over the Volts and thus, turning the Volts from a Nuclear Powered into a Coal Powered team.

Rodfil Camacho had a monster performance dominating the Volts big men by running fastbreak after fastbreak. Jeff Duria cooled down in this game and cannot seem to get his rhythm. Even with his sub par game he still finished with 9 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Phoenix Galing also made a lot of defensive plays finishing with 4 steals along with 9 points and 3 rebounds.

The Volts were struggling to get their shooters going in the first half. However, they were able to catch up on the second half. At this point, the ‘Pros were already pulling away.

Timely miscues and great defensive stops by the ‘Pros quick guards resulted in fastbreak plays for Rodfil Camacho.

Semifinals: HeadSpin vs Voltes V

Headspin (42) vs voltes v (46)

HeadSpin’s perfect season came into a screeching halt in their Semifinals game against the sweet shooting Voltes V.

The Volts finished the game with a hard fought down-the-wire 4 point win over HeadSpin. The Volts survived the horrible shooting night of Aldrich Acuna. Aaron Cua became hit his 3 point bombers at the right moments of the game keeping the Volts afloat.

HeadSpin hobbled by the loss of one of their talented wingman, Kyle Aguirre, gave the game away in the last canto. One of their wingman, Rodje Villa, also struggled the entire game finishing with only 2 points and 5 rebounds.

Big man Point-Forward Carl Agcamaran powered HeadSpin with an 18 point and 3 rebound performance while Joseph Brimon anchored the battled down low against similarly talented bigman in Aldrin Acuna of the Volts.

The biggest moment of the game came at the last minute with the HeadSpins committed an unforced error by fouling while on penalty with the game tied at that moment at 42-42.

Aaron Cua hit the biggest free throws giving the Volts some breathing room as they went on to win the game.

Semifinals: SemiPro vs Thundercats

semipro (53) VS THUNDERCATS (35)

SemiPro peaked at the right moment in the Semifinals and were humming like a well oiled machine cruising to an easy 53-35 victory over the Thundercats.

Jeff Duria proved once again that he can carry the SemiPros on his back finishing with 24 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist while dissecting the ‘Cats defense over and over again. Renz Villanueva had no answer for him on defense.

Rodfil Camacho finished with 20 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists performance dominating the smaller ‘Cats who were missing their big men Dennis Dagondon and Rainier De Joya

The Thundercats had trouble getting consistent scoring from their team. Noel Bagalso exploded in the second half while everyone else were looking to find their rhythm. Gil Mandabon was able to find his range in the second half but by then, the SemiPros pulled away in a staggering rally.

The ‘Cats ended their season after a promising start.
