Pogi vs Gamecocks

rated RRR or Rated PG Game

Tempers flared in the last outing for the GameCocks as they lose a tight game against the Kuya Cats. Looking for a comeback, they will be facing the high octane offense of Team Pogi on Week #2.

Raymund Escarlan commandeered a masterful game against the KuyaCats on Week #1 and will be leading the team again this week. Joseph Brimon and Eric Pranivong’s presence were sorely missed the last game and the team is hoping that they will be available to compete this week. CJ Pineda will be the lead GameCock as he will try to carry the team this week. Supporting case will be Jingson Morales who showcased his versatility by playing both ends of the court, Ryan Manalo, Jerry Agtarap, Nervin Metrillo, and Cyrel Legaspi. Look for Cupid Musa to be active again on offense and defense this week!

High octane Team Pogi will be running with Triple R Combo, Rommel-Richard-Ronnie. Don’t get any ideas with it. They are not your typical team. If you can get the jest, you deserve a reward. Court general Cris Dapon, our #1 draft pick, will face off with Raymund Escarlan. This might be a game where the old battles with the youngin. Completing the guards are Mark Lim, Jacob, Gerry and Gerald Areja. Vetereans Mike and Tiger will try to bring stability off the bench.

Game will tip off at 1215pm on February 11, 2023.

vs

FamBam vs The Underdogs

band of brothers or band of mercenaries

Frankie, Frank, and Devan Mesa played for the first time in Week #1 as the first tri-generation of basketball players in a family. It was a great game to watch as they try to compete with the Barakos. As much as it was a feel-good story, the Barakos went on to win their Week #1 game.

Frankoe and Frank will provide the presence in the middle and offense. Steven Nicolas and Noel Bagalso played a masterful game and is looking again to help get the FamBam their first win of the season. Cousins Trey Macabare and Phoenix Galing played for the first time but had to leave the game early to go to their PSA game that time. Brian and Raffy Filomeno played without Bhon and will be looking to have more playing time this week.

The Underdogs played without Kyle and Rodje in their first game. But, Rodfil Camacho filled the gaps and had an unstoppable performance on both ends of the court. Dillon Pineda controlled the entire game and you can bet that he will have the ball when the game is on the line. CK Pineda will be a threat from the rainbow territory this game. Jun Centeno, Aris Aguirre and Dennis Villa provided veteran leadership and will be called up once again this week. Philip Autencio and Oliver Poblete will be expected to suit up in this game.

This will be good game to watch and expect some fast plays and long bombs coming your way.

Tipoff is at 1015am on February 11, 2023.

vs

Astig Boys vs Carabao Crew

gunpowder or a bull run

The sweet shooting Splash Brothers, Aaron and Aldrich, as well as the Astig Boys will be looking to bounce back from their Week #1 loss to Team Pogi as they face the Carabao Crew in Week #2.

Jeffrey Duria had an all-around game against The Underdogs but fell short in the end. Gabe Gaw  and Cy Real will be looking to have a big bounce back game against the Astigs. Lito Matildo will be suiting up for the first time tomorrow and will showcase his all-around game. Paul Echaore, Gideon Gaw, and Angelo dela Cruz will provide the firepower to help propel the bulls against the Astigs. Veterans Nilo Concepcion, Marvin Gonzales, and Melchor Dupale may be playing their first game of the season.

After finishing up as the top defensive player last season, Aldrin had a quiet outing in Week #1 and you can expect a big game from Mr. Fundamentals. Popoy Vargas presence and playmaking was sorely missed last week and the Astigs is looking for him to play up this week. Mico Mercado provided the hustle plays chasing rebounds after rebounds in Week #1. Mark Companero and Dave Go provided the rebounding and defensive plays for the Astigs. Ads Acuna and Mitchell Salas came off the bench and provided the needed spark.

Will there be enough gunpowder left for the Splash Brothers or will they be run over by the Carabaos?

Expect a very tight defensive game this week as the Carabao Crew will try to contain this 1-2 punch this Saturday – February 11th at 1015am.

vs

Barakos vs Kuya Cats

New KIDS ON THE BLOCK vs O.G.

The fast-paced game run by the Barakos will be put to the test as they face the O.G. of Harry Stone, the Kuya Cats, this Saturday February 11, 2023.

Anchored by their high flying forward Eugene Piong, the Barakos will try to get their second win this season. Carl Agcamaran showed a very versatile game in his second season with the DUB league manning both the paint and playing the mid range game for the Barakos.

Their high flying, fast-paced game will not be complete without their court-general Neil Bagalso, who dictated the offense for the team. An array of guards complete the team with Yoneo Gamalinda, Julius Ramos, Loven Villanueva, Mark Anorico, Michael Perez, and John Dahan. Paolo Olea will be DNP again this game as he is recovering from a back injury.

Meanwhile, the O.G.s, will be led by the versatile playmaking of Juan Gutierrez, Renz Villanueva, and the leadership of Gil Mandabon. Playing alongside his father will be high school standout Matea who had a quiet but effective outing in their first game. GJ Eva, CJ Luna, and Ahwin Adricula will provide the play on the break as the KuyaCats will look to push the ball upcourt this game. Toby Cudiamat, Mohammed Karim, and Arvin Dela Cruz will provide the veteran leadership and stability for this team. Any of these veterans can get hot really quick. Watch out!

Expect a high fueled, fast pace, run and gun type of game this Saturday – February 11th at 915AM in the morning.
