Kuyacats no fluke in week 1; the underdogs runnin’ high

In a much anticipated matchup in Week 2, the defending champions, Kuya Cats, will be playing against the fastbreak crazy and high energy machine of The Underdogs. This matchup will feature two different styles of play with the Kuya Cats inside outside game against The Underdogs fast-paced, high octane offense that is anchored by Rodfil Camacho.

The Kuya Cats validated their title as champions in their Week 1 win over the Balut All Stars by playing lockdown defense down the stretch and staving off the “eggies” rally. The ‘Cats will rely on their bigs Frankie Mesa and Mohammed Karim to man the paint again in this Week 2 matchup while Gil Mandabon, CJ Luna and Matea Mandabon will provide the outside shooting for the team. Dillon Pineda, Cy Real, Renz Villanueva, and Devan Mesa will provide the athletic backcourt that can matchup against The Underdogs guards.

Meanwhile, The Underdogs notched their first win against the Astig Boys who missed their main players Aldrin Acuna and Aldrich Acuna in a whopping 94-57 win, the biggest in The DUB League history. Rodfil Camacho and Al Bae provided the fast break action along with Rodje Villa, JR Sunga, and Aldwin Brotonel athleticism and sweet shooting. Jun Centeno was also sensational in the paint dominating the unmanned Astig Boys. Philip Autencio, Oliver Poblete and Aris Aguirre will provide the veteran presence.

Also, the little birds say that Kyle Aguirre will play for the first time this season against the champs.

Will this game be a blowout again? Or will this go down the wire?
